Kobe Hughey led the Jays in scoring with 18 points, even with him sitting out some crucial minutes due to a terrible blocking call in the 2nd half. Monti Mixon posted another double-double with 15 points and a game-high 18 rebounds. "Monti did a great job tonight especially on the defensive end of the floor," Coach Beck said when speaking on his sophomore player. Rico Aparicio poured in 13 points, including some big shots early to get the game close. Keyonte Wingfield scored 10 points and had a team-high 5 assists. Hurk Burns and Tre King each scored 2.
Nevada is back in action tonight in Mount Ida, as they look for their 2nd conference win of the week. The Jays will head back to Fordyce for the 3rd place game on Saturday.
