Blue Jays Earn Big Conference Road Win as They Beat Kirby 67-45
Kirby- The Blue Jays (15-4, 4-0) hit the road for a big matchup with the Trojans in a battle of the un-beatens in conference play on Tuesday night. Long story short, it was all Blue Jays from the opening tip, as they had a nice lead after the first quarter and extended the lead to 40-19 at the half. The on-ball defense and pressure from the Blue Jays defense proved to be too much for the Trojans to handle, as they just completely dominated the first half. After the game, Coach Mario Bell spoke on the first half, "We came out and pressured them early, we pressured half-court and did a great job of speeding them up."

The second half had a little slower pace, but the Blue Jays still outscored the Trojans in the half, and a lot of guys got some good minutes in a tough environment. A total team victory for the Blue Jays as they controlled the game in all aspects. After the game Caleb Moss spoke on the big road win, "Feels good to get the win, we came into this great atmosphere and just got the win, we played good team ball."

Freshman Monti Mixon played lights out on Tuesday, as he posted another double-double with 10 points and a career-high 17 rebounds. Keyonte Wingfield poured in a team-high 15 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists and had 4 steals. Kavion Coleman scored 12 points and had 7 rebounds. Kobe Hughey scored 11 points, including two 3's in the first quarter. Justin Myrick scored 9 points, including a buzzer beater from around half-court. Brogan Rhodes had 4 points, and Caleb Moss, Rico Aparicio, Hurk Burns each had 2 points.

The Blue Jays improve to 4-0 in conference play and are back in action in the Camden Classic after Christmas.
