Blue Jays Get 20-Point Conference Road Win Over Mt. Ida
Mt. Ida- The Blue Jays headed to Mt. Ida on Monday night for their last conference road game of the season and walked out of the gym with a 20-point win by a score of 56-36. The Blue Jays defense was very good throughout the game, allowing over 10 points in a quarter only once all night.

The Jays held a 14-10 lead after the first quarter, on a bit of a slow start offensively, but they turned that around quickly, scoring 19 points in the 2nd quarter to take a 33-18 lead into the break. Nevada would outscore the Lions 20-14 in the third quarter behind four 3-pointers, as the Blue Jays began knocking down some shots in the second half. The defense would clamp down on Mt. Ida in the 4th and allow just 4 points to give Nevada the 56-36 win. After the game, Justin Myrick spoke on the Blue Jays win, "We came out slow, picked it up in the 2nd quarter and second half, but we ended up knocking down shots in the second half which help lead to the win."

Three Blue Jays were in double-figures on Monday night, inlcuding Kavion Coleman who led all scorers with 24 points, as he drained four 3-pointers and shot 6/8 from the free throw line. Keyonte Wingfield played another great game, as he poured in 13 points and played great on-ball defense. Justin Myrick knocked down some big shots in the second half, inlcuding three 3-pointers to give Nevada 11 points. Caleb Moss played great as he ended up scoring 8 points, along with some big plays defensively.

Great defense was a big key to this win for Nevada, as they are ready to welcome Kirby into Nevada on Thursday night in a big conference game.
