Nevada jumped out to an early lead, but the Bears did a great job of getting the deficit back to 10 before the half. The Blue Jays struggled to score in the 2nd half, as they saw their lead fade away, as Spring Hill had the lead with under two minutes remaining. Nevada would close the game on a 8-0 run, trailing by 3 points late to win the game 56-51, as Monti Mixon leaped and got a block on a tying 3pt attempt and went and got a dunk on the other end as the time would expire. Coach Eddie Beck spoke after the game, "First time we've faced adversity late, first time we've trailed in the 4th all year and the guys did what they had to do to get a win for us, I like how poised we looked the last couple of minutes trailing, good win for us against a really good opponent whose going to win a lot of games this year."

Keyonte Wingfield had 13 points, with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals. Kobe Hughey posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.
