Blue Jays Improve to 2-0 in Conference with 69-26 Win Over Oden
Nevada- In their conference home-opener, the Blue Jays (11-2, 2-0) improved to 2-0 with a 43-point win over the Timberwolves. Nevada jumped out to an early 19-5 lead in the opening quarter and extended their lead to 36-10 at the half, as Justin Myrick poured in 11 of his game-high 18 points in the first half. The Jays continued to extend their lead after each quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 33-16 in the 2nd half, en route to a 69-26 conference win. "We showed up and took care of business, our bench came through big for us tonight, as we had ten different guys score tonight, really proud of how they came in and kept extending the lead for us," Coach Bell said after the win.

As mentioned in Bell's comments, ten different Blue Jays put the ball in the basket, which is a great sign. Myrick led the way for Nevada as he scored 18 points, including two 3-pointers. Kobe Hughey continued his excellent play on Tuesday as he scored 10 points and added 4 assists. Rico Aparicio added 8 points, with Monti Mixon and Brogan Rhodes each scoring 7 points. Rhodes added 11 rebounds to lead Nevada in the rebounding category. Tatum John scored 6 points, Hurkillis Burns scored 4, Reid Casey splashed in a 3-pointer, and Caleb Moss, Keyonte Wingfield, and Tobin Campbell each scored 2 to round out the scoring for the Jays.

The Jays are back in action on Friday as they host Mount Ida for Homecoming, as they will look to improve to 3-0 in conference play.
