Nevada finally started forcing some turnovers and got some transition points towards the end of the 3rd quarter, as they ran the deficit up to 28 points, on their way to a 72-44 win. "It's always good to beat Bradley, sort of a rivalry for us, we didn't have a strong start but we kept the pressure on them and we pulled away late," Coach Beck said at Waffle House after the game.
Monti Mixon led the Jays in points on Tuesday night with 19. Mixon also added 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Kobe Hughey had 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, and Keyonte Wingfield poured in 11 points and had 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Rico Aparico and Taco Roberson each had 9 points. Roberson added 6 boards. Tre King had 7 points and Hurk Burns had 4 points and 3 steals.
Nevada hosts Emerson on Thursday night as they will look to improve to 3-0 on the year.
