Blue Jays Take Care of Business Against Mount Ida, Improve to 3-0 in Conference Play
Nevada- The Blue Jays (12-2, 3-0) headed into Friday night in search of their third conference win of the week, as they welcomed in Mount Ida on Homecoming night. In a game where any kind of flow was taken out by a crazy amount of whistles, the Jays had a slow start to the game. Kavion Coleman heated up late in the first quarter, as he hit a pair of 3's and knocked down a few free throws to give the Jays a 16-11 lead after one quarter.

Nevada would limit the Lions to just seven 2nd quarter points, as they would extend their lead to 29-18 at the half. Mount Ida's offense would hit some shots and cut into the lead by scoring 16 points in the third quarter. Coleman would score nine points in the final quarter, and Brogan Rhodes would get a couple of big buckets late, as the Jays outscored the Lions 19-8 in the final quarter to win the game 64-45. "The flow of the game was off, we didn't play our best but our guys do a great job of figuring out ways to win games," Coach Bell said after Nevada's 19-point conference win.

Kav Coleman scored a game-high 25 points, including five 3-pointers, and posted another 25-point double-double as he grabbed 10 rebounds. Keyonte Wingfiled continues to prove that he is an elite point guard on both sides of the floor, as he poured in 14 points, dished out 8 assists, and had 4 steals. Kobe Hughey and Brogan Rhodes each scored 7 points. Hughey added 5 rebounds and Rhodes added 4 boards. Monti Mixon finished the game with 6 points and 7 rebounds, as he was in foul trouble for a lot of the game. Rico Aparicio rounded out the Blue Jays scoring with 5 points.

Nevada is back in action on Monday as they begin the Nashville Classic as they play Cossatot River.
