Nevada started the game a little slow but found their rhythm pretty quickly as they would win the game, 69-44.
Coach Bell spoke on the road win and the challenges that Acorn gave the Blue Jays: “They gave us a good physical game, we had some guys come off the bench and played huge minutes for us. We fought and found a way to beat a good team on the road.”
Kavion Coleman torched the nets for 19 points to lead the Blue Jays in scoring. Coleman also had five steals and five assists as he was vital to the Nevada success on both sides of the court. Brycten Harris had another great game as he was two assists away from a triple-double with 18 points, 10 boards, and 8 assists.
Keyonte Wingfield had 12 points, 3 assists, and he had 7 steals on the defensive end. Kobe Hughey played another spectacular game with 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. Caleb Moss and BJ Evans gave the Blue Jays great minutes off the bench as well Friday night. Nevada travels to Blevins on Tuesday night for a game with the Hornets.
