Coach Bell spoke after the game on the Jays win, "Its always nice to get a win at home, gotta protect homecourt, I did not like our defense tonight at times, at times we were good and at times we got lazy, but we will fix that. Offensively, our best offense was a missed shot and Monti getting the offensive board and getting a put-back, we're going to continue to get better."
Freshman Monti Mixon posted a double-double on Tuesday, with 16 points and 12 boards in just 21 minutes of action. Kav Coleman scored 16 points on a less than normal shooting night from the Nevada senior, Coleman also added 7 rebounds and 5 assists. After the game Wingfield spoke on the win, "What hurt us the most early was not talking on defense, we fixed that and then we slowed it down offensively and played at our pace."
