Hope- The Bobcats welcomed Camden Fairview to Hammons Stadium on Friday night, in an important game with playoff implications. Camden would score very quickly on their opening drive after a big kickoff return set them up nicely. Fairview was very good on special teams all game long and it would constantly put Hope in difficult spots. QB Tyler Patterson and the offense would answer quickly with a long TD pass to Noah Cheatham. Camden would then go on a run and score 5 unanswered touchdowns to put the game out of reach at the half. Tyler Patterson would find Jay Monk in the endzone in the second half for the Bobcats final TD of the game. The Bobcats would fall 48-14 to Fairview and bring Hope’s record to 2-6 (1-4). Patterson would finish the night with 161 yards passing and 2 TDs and 15 rushing yards. Jay Monk finished the night with 4 catches for 49 yards and a TD, Noah Cheatham with 2 receptions for 49 yards and 1 TD, and Isaac Love would lead the team in receptions with 5 for 30 yards. Tamorien Lindsey got the bulk of the work out of the backfield with 12 carries gaining 30 yards and adding 2 catches for 7 yards. KD Gulley had 21 total yards on offense and Romelo Ford had 18 yards rushing. Juan Ortiz led the Bobcats on defense with 9 tackles, Gulley had 6 tackles and an INT. Jalen Staggers had 5 tackles and 1 sack, and Richard Cunningham had 4 tackles. The Bobcats are back in action as they travel to Arkansas High Friday night in a conference matchup.Â
