DeQueen- The Bobcat Soccer Team traveled to DeQueen Friday in a highly anticipated conference matchup against the Leopards as Hope fell 4-0 for their first loss of the season. The game was much closer than the score shows as DeQueen added on 2 goals late in the match and Hope was playing a player down for most of the game. The atmosphere was electric and the intensity of the game brought out a lot of physical play. DeQueen scored a goal early and never looked back. The two teams earned the top 2 seeds in the conference tourney which include byes to the semi-finals and a birth in the State Tournament. If all plays out a rematch of this game could happen next weekend in Bauxite in the Conference Championship. I imagine the Bobcats are more hungry than ever for their semi-final matchup next week against whichever team they draw to get back to their winning ways. Dates and times will be posted as soon as they are available. The loss brings the Bobcats conference record to 5-1-1 as they earn the 2-seed in the conference tourney.
