Hot Springs- The Bobcats traveled to Hot Springs Friday night for a showdown with the Rams with huge playoff implications. In a back-and-forth opening half, the score was knotted at 14-14 headed into the half. Lakeside came out in the third quarter and struck early and never looked back as they would end up winning the game 38-21. Hope would fight back in the second half, but just could not get a stop and a drive to make it a one score game. Tyler Patterson would throw for 157 yards and an INT. Tamorien Lindsey would have a great night rushing for 74 yards and a TD, Lindsey also added 33 yards receiving. KD Gulley had reached the endzone and rushed for 37 yards. Donovan Jones scampered to the endzone for a 27-yard TD. Isaac Love had 6 catches for 76 yards, Jay Monk had 2 catches for 23 yards, and Kicker Joshua Ramos was 3/3 on PAT’s. Defensively, the Bobcats were led by Juan Ortiz with 9 tackles and a forced fumble. Gulley also had a great night on defense with 8 tackles, Jalen Staggers and Kamron Walton each had 7 tackles. Kentorrion Cheatham and Isaac Love each had interceptions for the Hope defense. The Bobcats will host Camden Fairview next week. Kickoff at 7pm.
