The second half was more of the same, a lot of opportunities, but no goals. Until a great through ball from Elliott Vazquez found Anthony Dominguez, who made a nice move, and found freshman Bradley Brown sliding in front of the goal to find the back of the net for a nice Dominguez to Brown connection to give Hope a commanding 3-0 lead. The Bobcats would go on to finish the game with a 3-0 victory. Captain Josh Ramos spoke on the win after the game, "We started out with intensity, we went strong from the beginning, the second half we didn't start off as good as we should have, we caught another one and we're going home with an away win."
The Bobcats did an excellent job with controlling the match, they did a great job possessing the ball throughout the night, limiting the Miners chances to just a few. Goalkeeper Joel Bello finished the night with a clean sheet, as he made a couple of really nice saves. The defense of Gio Ruiz and Fabian Aguilar really stood out on Thursday, along with Dylan Mercado, Nathan Sanchez, and Carlos Garcia.
Elliott Vazquez did a great job around the mid-field, Josh Ramos played really well, the speed from Brian Jimenez and Anthony Dominguez gave Bauxite a lot of problems, especially early. Alex Hernandez continues to find his way in the box score, with either an assist or goal. Yahir Velazquez and Yair Munoz played good, jonathon Hernandez played well, John Gutierrez had some really good minutes for Hope, and Bradley Brown continues to showcase his abilities on the pitch.
With the win, the Bobcats are now 5-1 on the year and 2-0 in conference. After Spring break Hope will welcome Nashville to Hope on April 1st for their conference home-opener. Everyone be sure to come out and support.
