Bobcats Score 7 Goals in Win Over Gurdon on Friday Night
Hope- The Hope Bobcats welcomed in Coach Collins' Gurdon Go-Devils on Friday night in a non-conference game, as conference play is set to begin next week. The Bobcats got out going early Friday night, as John Gutierrez found the back of the net for his first goal of the young season on a brilliant pass from Brian Jimenez. Josh Ramos would quickly add to the Hope lead as he scored to make the game 2-0. Alex Hernandez would score to make it 3-0 on a nice pass from Alex Sanchez. Hernandez now has 3 goals in 4 games this season. Yahir Velazquez found Anthony Dominguez with a nice pass, and Anthony did the rest as he found the back of the net to increase the Bobcat lead to 4-0. Before the half, Chris Alvarado showed off some nice moves as he scored a goal after a nice pass from Elliott Vazquez to make it a 5-0 lead at the half.

Gurdon would then answer and score two goals rather quickly in the second half to make the game interesting again, but Alex Sanchez scored a goal to make it 6-2. Carlos Garcia made his way down the field, normally a defensive standout, but he wanted a goal on Friday night, and he would not be denied as he made the game 7-2, as he found the back of the net to cap off a great scoring night for the Bobcats. Seven different Bobcats scored for Coach Marshall's bunch on Friday night, as they showed flashes of their high potential on Friday night.

After the game, Brian Jimenez spoke on the win, "We came out with intensity, we moved the ball around a lot, John scored his first goal of the season we played good tonight man."

The Bobcats are back in action on Tuesday as they head to Mena for their conference opener.
