The dead body found in the pond behind the former Marcus Twin Cinema in Hope on Monday has been positively identified as Christopher Chancellor, age 55 years old. Identification was verified by fingerprint analysis. Detectives were advised that Chancellor is from Texarkana, but had been living in the Hope area for several months. The cause and manner of death should be known soon as the investigation by Hope Police Department is ongoing.
