For Immediate Release

Contact: Arnetta Bradford (870)826-3465

HopeEarlier today local business owner Arnetta Bradford filed for State Representative in District 88 with the support and endorsement of Governor Sanders. The district includes Hempstead and parts of Howard and Miller counties. The seat is currently held by Representative Danny Watson, who has also endorsed Bradford for the position.

“I have a passion for serving my community,” said Bradford.  “I’m excited to kick off my campaign and look forward to talking with voters about our shared conservative values and my ideas for moving Arkansas forward.”

Governor Sarah Sanders endorsed Arnetta Bradford, saying “Arnetta has been a great friend for several years and I love her commitment to serving others. Voters can count on Arnetta to join me in fighting the liberal agenda attacking our values as we continue phasing out income taxes, improving educational outcomes, and bringing more opportunities to every Arkansan.”

Bradford’s involvement in the community includes being Regional Development Manager for PAX, which helps place exchange students in homes across the state.  Additionally, she serves on the board of the Hope Chamber of Commerce, the Hope Downtown Network and the Arkansas Black History Commission.  She is currently participating in the LeadAR program through Farm Bureau.

“I’m not a politician,” continued Bradford, “but will use my faith in God, business experience, and community service to advocate for the issues that matter to our area.”

Representative Watson, who has served the district since 2016, added his support for Bradford.  “It has been an honor serving our area in the legislature.  While I know it’s time for me to step aside, I believe our district deserves someone who will continue fighting for us.  That’s why I fully endorse Arnetta.  I know we can count on her to work with Governor Sanders and the Republican majority, giving Southwest Arkansas a voice on all important issues facing our state.”

Bradford is the owner of Hebrews 11:1 coffee shop, which has locations in both Hope and Nashville. She resides in Hope with her husband Chad and their son Aaryn.  They are members of New Testament House of Prayer in Hope where they lead the youth ministry.
