Central Arkansas Development Council (CADC) joined Hope Farmers' Market this morning to host the Hospitality Table and provide snacks and refreshments to market patrons. Alice Adams, CADC's Family/Community Enrichment Specialist, said she and fellow CADC members were delighted to be at the market today. "We enjoy getting out here to meet people and let them know about what programs we have," Adams said. " We have a single parent scholarship, weatherization, the Pamper Drive, and more. We also have the Assurance 16 program that will assist with utility bills." Adams said more information can be found about CADC and their services at cadc.com.
Also in attendance at the market today were the Mint Man with his mint plants, Farm on the Hill with fresh beef, Papa's Honey with homemade honey and pollen products, and Zoey's Simple Pleasures with homemade dog treats. Carolyn's Kitchen, Aunt Fern's Fried Pies, and Poppy's Fried Pies had baked goods while Arnold Farms, Salinas Farms, Reynold Farms, Solomon Farms, Hannah's Berries, and Silvey Farms brought their locally-grown fresh produce and other homemade wares. VC Farms had watermelons, and it's a pretty good reminder for locals what is just around the corner when watermelons start appearing!
