Camenzind, Leinstock Combine for Shutout to Even Series with #20 Mississippi State
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Pitchers Hannah Camenzind and Morgan Leinstock dazzled in the circle as the duo combined for a two-hit shutout to down No. 20 Mississippi State, 3-0, to even the series Saturday afternoon at Bogle Park.

In front of a single-game program record crowd of 3,811, the victory forces a Sunday rubber match scheduled for Noon CT on SEC Network+.

Camenzind and Leinstock combined for Arkansas’ 10th shutout of the season. Camenzind (7-0) earned the win after spinning four innings, surrendering just two hits while punching out one. The Valley, Neb., product did not walk a batter and retired the first 12 batters she faced before giving up a leadoff single in the top of the fifth.

Leinstock impressed after assuming reigns in the top of the fifth. Leinstock, who entered the circle with zero outs and runners at second and third, escaped the jam by forcing two strikeouts and a groundout. Leinstock picked up her first save of the season after checking the Bulldogs one walk across 3.0 frames.

Three Hogs combined for six hits on the day, led by Bri Ellis’ 2-for-3 effort that included a solo home run – her 11th jack of the season – in the bottom of the first. Two of Arkansas’ three runs were plated with two outs.

Raigan Kramer tied her season-high in base knocks after going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Kennedy Miller had a 2-for-3 performance that included a career-high two doubles and an RBI.

Bri Ellis scratched Arkansas an early 1-0 advantage in the first thanks to her first-pitch swinging, solo launch to left field.

With two outs in the third, Nia Carter walked and Ellis reached on a fielding error to push a runner into scoring position. Miller then cracked her first double of the game – a shot down the third base line – to send Carter home from second for a 2-0 lead. The Razorbacks tacked on their final run in the sixth on Kramer’s RBI single through the right for a 3-0 edge.
