CAPES ANNOUNCES NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP
Little Rock, Arkansas – CAPES (Citizens For Arkansas Public Education & Students) is a grassroots organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of Arkansas students. We are thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with PEER, The Partnership for Equity and Education Rights. PEER is a state- and territory-driven network of organizers, lawyers, and community leaders committed to fighting for education equity and to putting an end to the ongoing divestment of public education.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts CAPES has made to ensure that every student in Arkansas has equal access to a high-quality education that empowers them to succeed and thrive.

By joining forces with PEER, CAPES will be able to amplify its advocacy efforts and leverage the collective power of grassroots organizing, legal expertise, and community leadership to address systemic issues facing Arkansas's public education system. Together, CAPES and PEER will work tirelessly to advance policies and initiatives that promote equity, fairness, and excellence in education for all students, regardless of their background or zip code.

“We are excited to partner with PEER in our shared mission to fight for education equity and justice in Arkansas,” said Shay Rafferty of CAPES. “By combining our resources and expertise, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and families across the state, ensuring that every child has access to the opportunities they need to succeed.”

PEER shares CAPES’s commitment to building a more equitable and inclusive education system and believes that collaboration and collective action are essential to driving meaningful change.

CAPES invites individuals, organizations, and stakeholders across Arkansas to join them in their efforts to advocate for a brighter, more equitable future for all students.
