Early Monday in the Clinton Primary School library, a check presentation took place. Carter Wilcox gave $2,170 to the school librarian Casey Shoenberger. That makes a total of $7,820. Wilcox, now a fourth grader, has given to his school to buy books for his fellow students.

Wilcox said the funds had been raised in part from a trivia night fundraiser that took place last year. Last year 336 kids were able to go home with a book thanks to the Carter’s Class program.

Today is the book fair at Clinton Primary School and many books could be seen on display for students to choose from.

Carter’s mother Kelly Wilcox said the organization has a future. “Carter’s Class is pretty confident that he will be able to fund both Fall and Spring book fairs for next year with the donation buckets and the 2nd annual trivia night, and if the current trends in need stay close to the first fair.”
