Celebrate AMERICANA at Downtown LIVE!

Texarkana, USA – This month’s Downtown LIVE! is this Friday, July 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This month features a free outdoor concert by Texarkana Winds Community Orchestra as well as live art by Darlene Taylor, Miranda Layne, and Nay’s Space. Enjoy a meal at one of our locally-owned restaurants, catch the concert, and be fascinated by artists creating while you watch. West is the owner of Nay’s Place and will have a live portrait booth during this month’s Downtown live, calling it a “cozy little corner capturing real, playful, personal moments.”
Darlene Taylor, the artist behind many of Texarkana’s best known murals, will be on hand as will artist Miranda Layne and many more. Live street art scattered among locally owned restaurants and businesses is a premier feature of Downtown Live

The feature of the evening is a free outdoor concert by the Texarkana Winds Community Orchestra. This month’s concert theme is “Americana” to celebrate our great country and all its uniqueness. The concert will be held on the platform outside of the Gallery at 1894, 105 Olive Street. This is free and the public is encouraged to bring their own lawn chair.

Downtown LIVE! is held 6-9 p.m. every 2nd Friday of the month and brings together art, music, and business to provide an evening of fun, food, and shopping.
