Chamber Ambassadors join Farmers' Market
The Chamber Ambassadors for the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce joined Hope Farmer’s Market this morning to host the Hospitality Table and share with market patrons info regarding the upcoming Watermelon Festival. Ambassador Deanna Gilbert said she and the team were excited to be hosting today. “We are always glad to be here and support our local farmers and vendors, “ she said, “but we are also thrilled to be able to share news about the upcoming festival, especially the headliner for Saturday, Rodney Atkins.” Gilbert said some favorite vendors will be returning to the festival this year, in addition to a few new booths, and there will be tons of contests and competitions for people to join. She said more information can be found on the chamber’s Facebook page and website

A new vendor has joined the market recently, Lydia’s Bread, and this booth offers freshly-baked sourdough bread. Also in attendance today was Papa’s Honey with pollen and honey products, Joshua Wood Tree with homemade wooden wares, Back 2 Nature with all natural personal care products and Keep it Simple with pie, soup, and dip mixes. Arnold Farms, Field’s Farm, Salinas Farms, Silvey Farms, Solomon Farms, and Reynolds Farm were all on the scene with their fresh, locally-grown produce and other homemade products.

Hope Farmers’ Market takes place every Tuesday morning at the Hub in downtown Hope from 7am to 11am.
