A great crowd turned up for the Chamber Community Coffee hosted by Hope Junior Auxiliary at Hempstead Hall this morning. The JA ladies had a great selection of refreshments which included tasty treats from local businesses like Picket Fence, Cilla's Cookies, Little Teapot Bakery, and Hebrews 11:1, plus a beautiful arrangement from Hope Floral. JA President Lyndsi Easterling explained the purpose behind these selections. "We try to give back to the community by shopping locally," said Easterling. "Also, these businesses are those who have worked with us either by being a sponsor or providing donations. We couldn't get to them all today, but we will for other events." Easterling also said that all of the Hope Junior Auxiliary members were excited to be hosting the Chamber Community Coffee after last year's long break during the pandemic. She said, "We're glad to be here and back in the community again! We're ready to get back out there and work with the kids who need us."

Also at the event were recruitment forms with plenty of JA members on hand to discuss the benefits of joining their organization. The Hope Junior Auxiliary is an organization whose purpose is serving the children of Hempstead County. There is a wide range of service project areas sponsored by JA; meeting children's educational needs with literacy programs or scholarships, and providing for children's physical needs with wellness programs or food drives are just a few examples. Ladies with a passion for helping children and who feel the call to serve can reach out through the Hope Junior Auxiliary Facebook page for more information.
