The Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting and community coffee this morning to celebrate the grand opening of Pafford Health Systems Medical Clinic. The ceremony offered a variety of refreshments and snacks, plus delightful gift bags with a Pafford thermal cup and other mementos. Guests were also given a tour of the newly remodeled facility with state-of-the-art medical equipment for serving patients. Today’s ribbon cutting marks a new era for Pafford, a company who has been caring for local residents for many years.
Pafford Medical Services has been a staple of this community for over twenty years by providing emergency response medical services, medical transportation, medical billing services, and much more. This newest venture, Pafford Health Systems Medical Clinic, is a clinic right here in Hope offering primary care treatment, physicals, same-day appointments, and lab work. The clinic also offers COVID19 testing, both rapid and PCR, and treatment with access to a specialized room for infectious disease care. This room has negative pressure and a separate-air filtration system so care-providers can safely treat patients without exposing others. The new clinic also has emergency medical carts stationed near exam rooms, while also maintaining a designated emergent room in the event a life-threatening situation should arise. Clay Hobbs, COO of Pafford Medical Services, shared with SWARK.Today the aspiration for the clinic’s opening. “We wanted to offer something more to the community and our employees,” said Hobbs. “We have around 250 employees in Southwest Arkansas. It is important to us to provide quality care for their families, the local businesses, and the communities of Hempstead County. No longer will people have to leave the city or county to receive primary care.”
Pafford Health Systems Medical Clinic is located at 100 East 20th Street on Main Street in Hope. Information about services offered, hours of operation, and contact information can be found on the Pafford Health Systems Facebook page.
