Texarkana, USA – Main Street Texarkana announced today that it is taking suggestions for the 2024 Main Street Texarkana Christmas Parade. If you have an idea, share it on the Main Street Texarkana Facebook page! The deadline for suggestions is Monday, July 8th by 4 p.m. The winning suggestion will be announced at the next Downtown Live. For details, visit www.facebook.com/MainStreetTexarkana. “We are asking Texarkana to help us choose a theme this year,” says Main Street Texarkana Director, Ina McDowell. “This is the 40th parade and we are excited to hear everyone’s creative ideas.” Every year Main Street Texarkana hosts hundreds of floats in the parade, to the delight of the thousands of visitors that come downtown to view the spectacle. The event is held in the evening, so all floats must be lit, adding extra sparkle to the evening. Past themes include “150 of Texarkana,” “A Magical Christmas,” and “All Aboard the T-Town Express.” This year’s Main Street Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 2.
