The City of Hope, Arkansas is presently accepting applications for: a full time Collections Truck Driver/ Laborer.

Successful applicants will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of City-owned trucks used in the transportation of residential and commercial waste. A minimum Class B CDL is required. Applicant must be able to pass background and pre-employment drug screening. Must also have the ability to perform manual physical labor and tolerate extreme weather conditions.

Job duties for the position also includes responsibility for routine maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, lubricating equipment and performing safety inspections as required for safe and efficient operation. Applicants will also be considered and trained as a back-up driver for the commercial route. Applicants must be willing and able to perform periodic labor tasks associated with routine municipal maintenance operations as directed by their supervisor.

Eight-hour work days are normally Monday through Friday but successful applicants will be subject to emergency call in and occasional special duty hours. A qualified applicant will be selected based on work experience, skills, education and training. The salary for the listed position will range from $32,000 to $35,000 annually based on skills and experience.
