The Hope Park and Recreation Department’s mission is to ensure a safe and friendly environment for all guests to enjoy.   We are currently looking for lifeguards and also a pool manager to work the 2022 summer at the Fair Park Swimming Pool.

Lifeguard Qualifications: 

• Must be available on weekends.

• Must be available for some evenings for private parties.

• Must be able to pass lifeguard training and CPR classes. 

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

• Must be able to conduct oneself in a professional manner.

Pool Manager:

• Must be available Monday-Saturday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.

• Must be able to pass lifeguard training and CPR classes.

• Must be at least 21 years of age. 

• Must be able to conduct oneself in a professional manner. 

• Must be to be trained in regulating pool chemicals.  

• Must be able to create and maintain scheduling. 

• Must be able to over see all lifeguards and hold accountable. 

• Must be able to work closely with the front gate employee. 

• Must ensure a clean, safe and fun environment for the pool at all times. 

Pool Front Gate Employee:

• Must be available Monday-Saturday 12:00pm- 5:00 pm.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.

• Must be able to accept and count pool admission. 

• Must be able to keep records of all pool guests.

• Must be able to answer the pool phone.

• Must be able to conduct oneself in a professional manner. 

• Must be able to ensure no contraband enters the pool premises.
