Civitan provides hospitality at Farmers Market

The Hope Civitan Club hosted the Hospitality Table at Hope Farmers' Market this morning and provided snacks and refreshments for market patrons, as well as information about the organization. Civitan members had a plethora of pictures and clippings demonstrating club activities displayed for all to see, in addition to a scrapbook with even more information about the club's service within the community and mission to help those with mental and physical disabilities.

Civitan Board Member Judy Lee Flowers said she and fellow club members were excited to host at Farmers' Market today. "We love being out in the community, and we wanted to be here today to support our local farmers," she said. Flowers is also on the board for Farmers Market, serving as treasurer.

The vendors had a good showing today at the market so guests had numerous options when shopping: fresh, locally-grown vegetables, baked goods, beef, honey, jams, homemade goods and wares, plus much more. Vendors in attendance today were Arnold Farms, Solomon Farms, Salina Farms, Silvey Farms, Carolyn's Kitchen, Farm on the Hill, Aunt Fern's Fried Pies, and fan-favorite the Mint Man. Also in attendance and new to the market this year were Papa's Honey, Poppy's Pies, Reynolds Farm, and BC Farm.

The Hope Farmers Market is open from 7am to 11am every Tuesday at the Hub in Pavilion Park in downtown Hope.
