HOPE – College opportunities for students in the Hope Public Schools and surrounding school districts will be on display April 5 at the City of Texarkana Recreation Center in Texarkana, Ar., through a collaborative College Fair from 5-8 p.m.

The City of Texarkana Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will sponsor the event for traditional and non-traditional college-directed students of all ages.

Participating colleges include UAHT, Texarkana College, Texas A&M University-Texarkana, Arkansas State University, Lyon College, Louisiana State University-Shreveport, Southern Arkansas University, Harding University, Northwestern State University (Louisiana), Southern Arkansas University Tech, Jarvis Christian College and Ouachita Baptist University.

“We will have refreshments and some door prizes,” Texarkana Recreation Center Program Coordinator John McCoy said. “This will give students a chance to visit with schools in person.”
