Costumes and candy entertain the kids at Trick or Treat on Elm Street in Prescott
The blocks surrounding the Nevada County Courthouse were overflowing with ghouls, goblins, and all forms of the creeptastic tonight during the Trick or Treat on Elm Street Halloween event in Prescott.

This free, family fun event facilitated by the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce was made possible with the participation of numerous businesses, organizations, and individuals from the area who brought candy so the kiddos could trick or treat. Over 50 vendors were set up on Elm and behind the courthouse, creating a long line with a wide variety of sweet treat choices for the energetic youth. Some of the vendors joined in the costume fun as well and the entire downtown was buzzing with spooktacular energy.

Numerous children were asked, “What’s the best part about tonight … costumes or candy?” And most of the resulting answers were split right down the middle. Some thought dressing up was outrageously fun, while others believed getting three weeks worth of candy in one night was the highlight of the event. All of the children present though, like Hallie, Jolene, and Jed, with mom Emma Burke, (see pic below) appeared to find great joy in a night filled with both.
