Washington, D.C. — Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) released the following statement on the 80th Anniversary of D-Day:

“80 years ago, over 150,000 Allied troops landed on Normandy and embarked on a ‘Great Crusade’ to liberate Europe from the tyranny of the Nazis. The American and Allied soldiers heeded General Dwight Eisenhower’s order to ‘accept nothing less than full Victory’ and turned the tide of the war. On the anniversary of D-Day, we honor the ultimate sacrifice paid by the soldiers that day and remind ourselves of America’s strength when we are united in a common cause.”
