Cummings to represent Curley Wolves at State Golf Tournament

The Prescott Boys Golf team played in the District Tournament Wednesday and Curley Wolf Jace Cummings finished the match with a score of 80, qualifying him to play in the State Tournament. As a whole, the boys (Pate Willis, Chase Dice, Rhett Bullinger, and Cummings) placed fourth out of nine teams, with Camden HG placing first and Bismarck second.

Coach Mike Godwin said he was pleased with the team's performance this season, as well as Cummings' qualifying score on Wednesday. "I'm proud of the boys and how they improved this year," Godwin said. "Since we have no seniors, all of them will be back to play next year, and I look forward to seeing what they can do. Jace played well at District and received the best score on our team. He went to State last year, as well, so hopefully that will have given him some experience that will help him for this one."

The girls team won their District Tournament the day before, so they will be headed to State next week at Turkey Mountain, and Cummings will attend the Boys Golf State Tournament the following week, also at Turkey Mountain.
