Spencer Hubbard scattered 3 hits over 4 innings of work, striking out 7 batters in a very impressive performance on the mound Monday night, as he earned the win. Wes Harper was a little wild on the mound in relief, but made up for it at the plate with a 3-hit night. Keegan Simmons pitched 1 2/3 innings of good work on the mound in relief, allowing 0 runs, striking out one batter, and allowing just one baserunner. Mixon pitched the 7th inning, striking out 2 batters. Great defense from Prescott in the win, with only one error, as they played a really clean defensive game.
At the plate, Wes Harper led the way driving in two runs on three singles and swiped 4 bases on the basepaths. Spencer Hubbard had a 2-hit night with 1 RBI and Marketric Mixon added 2 singles and scored 2 runs. Keegan Simmons, Rhett Bullinger, Owen Glass, and Dalton Stockton each had singles for Prescott. As a team, the Wolves did a great job battling at the plate, and putting the ball in play, limiting their strikeouts to just two.
The Curley Wolves are now 1-3 on the young season and are back on the diamond Wednesday as they host Camden Fairview.
