Curley Wolves Go 1-1 This Weekend

The Curley Wolves recorded a win and a loss this weekend in the tournament held in Prescott Friday and Saturday. Prescott dropped a game to Linden Kildare Friday afternoon and won their game Saturday in convincing fashion.

Friday

Prescott- The Curley Wolves hosted the L-K Tigers Friday afternoon in the first game of the Prescott Tournament. In a game where both offenses scored runs in bulk, Linden bested the Curley Wolves 17-8 as Prescott lost for the first time this season. Both teams combined for 24 hits Friday afternoon and 25 runs. Five Curley Wolves batters recorded multiple hits. Pierce Yates had a double and a single with 2 RBIs. Carston Poole, Avery Hubbard, Talen Smith, and Caden Dice each had 2 hits. 

Saturday

Prescott-  The Curley Wolves beat Dierks Saturday afternoon 9-4 in the final game of the Prescott Tournament. Prescott put up a 7-spot in the first inning, using that and good pitching to cruise to a 9-4 win. Pierce Yates went 2-2 with 1 walk and 2 RBIs and Caden Dice added two hits, a walk, and 2 RBIs as well. Branen Bradley added 2 singles and Carston Poole added a single. Talan Smith pitched very well Saturday allowing 0 ERs, striking out 4 batters and allowing only 3 hits. The Curley Wolves travel to Horatio Monday for a game at 4:30.
