Curley Wolves Ready for Homecoming vs Gurdon
Prescott- It’s Homecoming for the No. 1 ranked Curley Wolves (3-1) as they welcome their rival Gurdon (2-2) into Prescott. Coach Glass said, “I expect Gurdon to put their best week together against us, there coaching staff does a good job over there.” Gurdon who has losses to Dierks and Murfreesboro, and wins over Laffeyette Co. and Foreman, will look to bring a lot of intensity early out of the gate. “Gurdon is more of a running team, they run a Wing-T out of the shotgun”, as Glass spoke on the Gurdon offense. The Curley Wolves defense is full of talent and they’re looking forward to the challenge of the Go-Devils offense. The linebacker group is led by Talan Smith, and they are one the top LB units in the state, and the “No-Fly Zone” is loaded with talent and speed on the back end of the defense. The D-Line looks to be a problem for Gurdon with monsters upfront like Marshawn Rafter, Rocco Patrick, Rasheed Muhammed, and Jamarion Burton.

Offensively, Coach Glass believes his offense has the speed advantage and Pierce Yates is coming off a very good game and they expect him to continue to put his talent and toughness on display every Friday night and get all his weapons involved early and often. Ja’Noah Harris could be destined for a big game out of the backfield Friday, as the Go-Devils are going to have an extremely difficult time containing him. The O-Line is ready to go as they want to build on a 41-point night last Friday against Hope. Last weeks’ SWARK.Today Player of the Week D’Wayne White, P.J. Gulley, Jaylen Johnson, and Spencer Hubbard will look to expose the Gurdon secondary. With another rival game on-deck for Prescott, I expect the Curley Wolves to come out fired up and put points on the scoreboard early and often. Kickoff is set for 7PM. Go Curley Wolves!!
