Curley Wolves Start Season Off with a 53-10 Blowout Win Over Crossett
Crossett- The Curley Wolves hit the road on Friday night to Crossett for a date with the Eagles. Coach Glass wanted to start the game fast offensively and the Wolves answered the bell, as they outscored Crossett 19-3 in the opening quarter. KJ Page took the ball 21 yards to the house to give Prescott an early 7-0 lead. Crossett would answer with a 34-yard FG to make the score 7-3. Page would then find pay-dirt again, with a 9-yard TD run to extend the Prescott lead. The defense would then get into the scoring action, as DeCari Prater made a house call for an 80-yard pick-six to give Prescott a 19-3 lead in the 1st quarter.

Braylon Howell would break loose for Crossett for a 67 yard TD run for the Eagles, but then it was all Curley Wolves after that mishap on defense, as Prescott would go on to finish the game on a 34-0 run, as DeCari Prater connected with D'Wayne White for a 59-yard TD. Prater to White will be a connection to look out for this season. Mario Brownlee would extend the Prescott lead as he powered into the endzone for a 3-yard TD run. Prater toss his second TD of the game as he found Spencer Hubbard for a 23yd pitch and catch. The Wolves would have a 40-10 lead at the half.

Running Back KJ Page would score his 3rd TD of the game as he scampered into the endzone for another 9-yard TD run. In the fourth quarter, backup-QB Dalton Stockton would make the most of his opportunity as he found Owen Glass for a 9-yard TD pass to bring the score to 53-10.

The Prescott defense was great on Friday night, as they forced 2 turnovers on Friday night, and held the Eagles to just 167 total yards. If anyone had any questions about this Curley Wolves defense after graduating a big class last season, this unit is putting the state on notice as they are still proving to be a dominant group.

DeCari Prater had a great showing Friday night, as he tossed 2 TDs and piled up 125 yards in the air and 45 yards rushing. KJ Page had a great night out of the backfield as he ran for 98 yards and 3TDs, as well as a 2-pt conversion. Tiquan Box ran for 58 yards and Mario Brownlee punched in a TD. This trio in the backfield will be exciting to watch this season and this offensive line is going to be a big part of the success. This O-line played great on Friday night. WR D'Wayne White hauled in a 59-yard TD, Spencer Hubbard had a 23 yard TD, Michael Brownlee had 2 catches for 34 yards, Jay Monk had 8 yards receiving and 46 yards rushing, and Owen Glass caught a 9 yard TD to round out the offense for the Wolves. David Rabadan knocked through 2 PATs and Miguel Barrado Ribera kicked 1 PAT.

The Wolves will head to Hendrix College in Conway this Thursday as they will take on Salem in a Top-10 matchup. Kickoff is set for 7PM.
