Curry's Community Feed serves 192 citizens

The Community Feed held at Curry's Community Outreach Ministry had a successful day in Prescott Saturday and served 192 hamburger plates to area residents and citizens. Whether one participated by dine-in, carryout, or delivery, the sense of community camaraderie was evident as volunteers worked together to cook, plate the meals, and make the deliveries. Pastor Ivory Curry said that, in addition providing citizens a meal, The Community Feed is important for building relationships and fellowship in the community.

Curry also said volunteers are a huge part of what makes this event successful, and Saturday's volunteers included members of the Prescott Police Department, candidate for Prosecuting Attorney, Ben Hale, and his family, as well as multiple members of the ministry. "It's an amazing thing to watch all of these people come together and do great things for our community," Curry said.

The Community Feed takes place the fourth Saturday of every month at 606 Greenlawn St. and is free for anyone who would like a lunch plate. Pastor Curry said volunteers are always welcome. Anyone who would like to participate or needs more info about how to get a meal can call 5018184658.
