Curry’s Community Outreach is operated by Ivory Curry alongside a dedicated team of volunteers. The outreach opened its doors at its current location, 606 Greenlawn, in January of 2020 and has since served the Prescott community through a variety of programs and services.
During the event, Curry expressed his gratitude for the continued support the outreach receives. “I’m thankful to God for everything He has helped us and this community do for our children and our elderly,” Curry said. He noted that the ministry hosts a community feed every Saturday, providing a consistent source of fellowship and support for those in need.
Curry also emphasized the vital role local businesses play in sustaining these efforts. He shared that businesses serve as the heartbeat of the community by sponsoring the feeds, which allows the ministry to direct additional funds toward other outreach opportunities that benefit residents across Nevada County.
In addition to the community feeds, Curry’s Community Outreach provides a space for guest speakers to address young people on important topics such as bullying, mental health, drug abuse, and other life challenges. The outreach also hosts an annual toy drive during the Christmas season, an annual appreciation banquet, and participates in numerous community outreach activities throughout the year.
The Community Coffee offered attendees an opportunity to connect, learn more about the ministry’s mission, and celebrate the positive impact Curry’s Community Outreach continues to have on the Prescott and Nevada County community.
