Peyton Hicks took over the game, especially defensively, denying 10 Lions with blocked shots, as he hosted a block party in the paint Tuesday night. Hicks has been very impressive in his junior season, and he added to that on Tuesday night with a 25-point triple-double. Hicks finished the game with 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 blocks. The on-ball defense from the guards were very good on the perimeter, as they had numerous steals throughout the game, as Coach Hamilton preaches defense in Genoa, and the players are doing an excellent job so far this season defensively. Two more Dragons finished the night in double-figures, with Brayden Cobb scoring 11 points and Braxton Robertson adding 10 points. Cobb added 5 steals and 2 assists and Robertson added 4 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Nathaniel Thomas poured in 6 points and had 2 steals.
Genoa is back in action next week as they travel to Fouke for another conference road game.
