Dragons Begin Season 4-0 With Thrilling OT Win Against Queen City
Queen City- Genoa Central will head into Thanksgiving break with a 4-0 record after an overtime win over the Bulldogs on Friday night. The game was back and forth throughout the entire game, but the grit of the Dragons proved to be the difference in the game, as they were trailing with under a minute remaining in regulation, but figured out a way to force OT. Coach Drew Hamilton spoke on his teams hard-fought win, "We fought back to force overtime, and our niche is defense, like I have told them all year good defense travels and we shouldn't have an off night defending and our defense is what won us that game tonight."

The offense from the Dragons was a complete team effort, as there were six Dragons that scored at least 6 points. Braxton Robertson was the high-point man for Genoa Central on Friday night, as he poured in 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Peyton Hicks posted a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Hicks also hosted a block party in Queen City on Friday night, as he swatted 5 blocked shots and had 6 steals, as his defense was crucial in the win. Nathaniel Thomas scored 8 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists, with Brody Helms scoring 7 points and having 4 assists. Brayden Cobb and Jaxon Muhl each had 6 points. Muhl added 4 rebounds.

The Dragons will have a week off for Thanksgiving, but will be back in action on Dec. 3 as they travel to DeQueen for a non-conference game with the Leopards.
