Genoa led wire to wire on Friday night, as they separated themselves from the Knights early and extended the lead late for a 57-32 win. "When we started the year, this is where we thought we'd be. [I] couldn't be more proud of this team. We're clicking at the right time. Our seniors have a lot of leadership, and our young guys are stepping up," Coach Drew Hamilton said.
Peyton Hicks posted another double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Hicks had six blocks and dished out four assists. Jackson Thornsberry poured in 11 points and brought down seven boards. Trent Lach had 10 points.
With the win, the Dragons are the 1-seed and will play Lake Village on Wednesday night at Drew Central.
