Early voting in full swing in Hempstead, Nevada Counties starting today

Early voting is underway for the 2024 General Election in the state of Arkansas. In Hempstead and Nevada Counties, registered voters can cast votes starting today, Monday, October 21st and extending until Monday, November 4th. 

At the Hempstead County Courthouse, voting is taking place on the building’s second floor in a centrally located conference room. Voting officials said that as of 3:15 p.m., 319 voters had cast their votes. In that county, voting at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m each weekday. Saturday early voting hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On November 4th, early voting closes at 5:00 p.m. 

In Nevada County, where County Clerk Tammie Rose reports that over 100 voters have cast votes as of 4:30 p.m., early voting hours begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday early voting hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  On November 4, early voting closes at 5:00 p.m. 

On Election Day itself, polls in Arkansas will open in various precincts throughout the counties at 7:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. You can find out your precinct for voting on Tuesday, November 5th by typing your street address into the Secretary of State’s Polling Place Search site
