Emmet hosted Christmas Parade and a Visitor from the North Pole Saturday
Early Saturday night, the little town of Emmet had a big parade as floats, emergency vehicles and tow trucks made their way around the Fireman’s Park area and then stopped at the Chuck Wagon in the former ArkLa Village for a Christmas gathering.

Santa was on hand to take requests and kids registered to take home one of the stuffed animals on display if their names were drawn. Hot Chocolate and punch was plentiful as well as cookies. It was all thanks to the city of Emmet and the Emmet Vision Association.

New4You Community Sales was open for any shoppers and had its entrance decked out in holiday lights. This reporter took advantage to pick up some potential gifts on CD and DVD.

The evening temperatures were in the mid-50s, but all are anticipating the coziness factor in warm homes to rise Sunday night as the temperatures are expected to fall to the upper 20s in the two-county area.
