Farm Bureau Insurance in Hope hosts Luau-themed member appreciation event
At the Farm Bureau Insurance headquarters on 110 North Hervey, a member appreciation event began today at 4:30 p.m. Though the spring rain began coming down just a little before it began, the late afternoon Luau still proved popular, drawing many to dine on pork barbecue sandwiches and all the trimmings outdoors under the building’s overhang.

Reed Camp, Agency Director, said the evening had been in the planning for three months. “We had everything from a tiki bar to a bouncy house to you name it. Every year we have a member appreciation and this year we decided to go with a theme.”

Almost 40 staff members and volunteers came to help prepare and serve the meal. Camp said enough food had been prepared for between 500 and 600 attendees.  You can dine-in or get meals via the drive-through.  Meals consist of a barbecue pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans and sausage. Pineapple sundaes are served for dessert.

The event will continue until 7:30 p.m.
