PRESS RELEASE
HOPE, AR -Â The Farm Bureau Women's Committee visited Beryl Henry Elementary School on April 14 and presented the Bee Project. They brought an observatory with live bees and the students viewed them in action.
Students then searched for the queen bee and learned about the process of the hive with the queen, drones and worker bees working together. The presenters explained the process of collecting pollen and nectar and how the bees make the honey.
The students were given a straw of honey and fun worksheets and the teacher was given a small bottle of honey. The students had fun and the Committee members had just as much fun with them. Approximately 100 students and 5 committee members attended the program in the cafeteria. Beryl Henry Elementary thanks all of those in attendance for their participation.
