Community members gathered this morning at the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce for a Community Coffee hosted by First United Methodist Church.
Guests enjoyed a variety of breakfast foods while visiting with members of the church congregation and catching up on local happenings. The event provided an opportunity for fellowship, conversation, and community connections as attendees mingled throughout the morning.
Church member Terri Hoglund shared that First United Methodist Church is preparing to open a new office at 202 South Main Street, directly across from the Chamber office. The new location will serve as the church’s headquarters, replacing its current operations out of the parsonage. Hoglund said the transition is expected to take place soon.
Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Christy Burns thanked the church for hosting the event and continuing its commitment to the community.
“Community Coffees are always a wonderful way to bring people together, and First United Methodist Church did a fantastic job hosting this morning,” said Burns. “It’s encouraging to see organizations investing in our community and creating opportunities for fellowship, connection, and service.”
As the morning came to a close, guests left with full stomachs, friendly conversations, and updates on exciting things happening around Hope.
It was a great morning for coffee, conversation, and community.
