If you are looking for a good place to eat, hear some music, buy quality baked goods or take part in a silent auction this evening, the Coliseum at Hope Fair Park has what you need from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. You would also be helping those in poverty in the area attain access to quality medical care.
There a fundraiser is taking place that has delicious fish and chicken dinners for just $12 courtesy of the Hope Lions Club. Longtime Lion Troy McClure said attendees can grab a meal without having bought a ticket first elsewhere.
Students from the Unity Baptist Youth Program will be on hand to help serve. A singing group of students from Garrett Memorial Christian School will be performing.
After finishing your meal, you might look through the dozens of offerings at the bake sale lined up in front of the stage. These items come from the many citizens of the area who are devoting their skills to the good cause.
The proceeds raised from the event will go to help patients at Hope's Charitable Christian Medical Clinic, located on 114 South Main, which offers medical assistance to indigent patients.
