FAYETTEVILLE -- The second day of the MLB Draft saw five more Razorbacks go off the board and prepare to start professional careers.
Second baseman Peyton Stovall was the first Razorback drafted on Monday. He went in the fourth round to the Cincinnati Reds with the No. 117 pick. He was followed by left-handed pitcher Mason Molina in Round 7 with pick No. 215 to the Milwaukee Brewers.
In the ninth round, three more Razorbacks heard their names called. Third baseman Jared Sprague-Lott went to the Oakland A's at No. 256 followed by catcher Hudson White to the Boston Red Sox with pick No. 267. Sprague-Lott also just played one season with the Hogs. He hit .290 with nine home runs and 28 RBI. White, who also transferred in from Texas Tech, had a .297 batting average. After a slow start at the plate, he finished with eight round trippers and 33 runs plated. McLaughlin was a workhorse for the Hogs. He played in 60 games. He hit .302 and finished with nine home runs and knocked in 42.
The draft concludes with rounds 11-20 on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
