WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

WHERE...Portions of southwest Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma, including the following counties, in southwest Arkansas, Hempstead, Howard, Little River and Sevier.

In southeast Oklahoma, McCurtain.

WHEN...Until 630 PM CST.

IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 PM CST, emergency management reported flooding in Holly Creek near Dierks, Messer Creek south of Dierks, and Dry Creek near Watson. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... De Queen, Nashville, Dierks, Horatio, Foreman, Umpire, Idabel, Broken Bow, Lockesburg, Winthrop, Gillham, Ben Lomond, Corinth, Arkinda, Athens, Center Point, Wright City, Valliant, Oak Grove and Millerton. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
