“As a former judge, I have experience presiding over a courtroom that is fair, impartial, and where everyone is treated respectfully,“ said Stone. “As District Judge, I’ll always remember that my rulings have an impact on the people who come into the courtroom and sometimes the entire community.”
“Public service is a calling that I have answered many times in my life, whether serving my country in the military, or serving Arkansas as a deputy prosecuting attorney or public defender, “ said Stone. “I’ve worked tirelessly for district families and stood up for victims of violent crimes who deserve justice, and now I’m asking to serve again as your District Judge.”
Dana Stone has been an attorney for nearly twenty years and has extensive public and private legal experience. Stone is currently a deputy prosecuting attorney for Hempstead and Nevada counties.
Her public service legal career began as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Nevada County where she handled a variety of cases in district court and circuit court. She eventually opened her own law firm where she handled domestic relations, estate planning, and other civil matters.
In 2007, Stone was elected District Judge for Pike County and held that position for one term. Later, Stone received her juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law.
